Matthew is a fourth-year Computer Engineering student at Queen’s. Last year as IT Director, he led the reconstruction of the FSQ website. Matthew had an amazing fall exchange semester at Lund University in Sweden, taking courses in Machine Learning, Image Analysis, and Computer Graphics. In the winter semester, his team worked for Community Foundation Kingston, in partnership with The Boston Consulting Group. Matthew’s ideal workplace is one that bridges the gap between technology and consulting. He enjoys learning about new languages and cultures.
Ethan is in his third year of the Commerce program at Queen’s. Last year, Ethan worked as a consultant on FreshSight, where he enjoyed the culture, mentorship, and impact that FreshSight is able to provide. This past summer, Ethan worked for a Cost Transformation team at CIBC. In addition to this role, he was also selected into CIBC’s SWAT program, where he was able to take on an internal consulting project alongside 4 other interns and present to executives and the CEO Victor Dodig at the end of the summer. This year, Ethan is excited to see the work our talented team will do for our clients, as well as provide resources and professional development for FreshSight. Lastly, one of Ethan’s main hobbies is basketball, and he is a die hard Toronto Raptors fan.
Jaimie is entering her fourth year at Queen’s, finishing off her Computer Engineering degree and Certificate in Business. After serving as Co-Director last year, she is very excited to be FreshSight’s Chair of the Board where she will help advise the current Co-Directors, lead professional development sessions, and continue to work with FreshSight’s partner firms. Jaimie has spent the past two summers at Coactuate, a strategic design consultancy in Toronto, and is very excited to be returning as an Associate following graduation. In her spare time, Jaimie can usually be found baking cookies, ranting about Marvel and DC universes, or walking her dog.
Isabelle was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and raised in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. She is currently in her third year of Computer Engineering and this is her second year as a member of FreshSight. She is excited to test her problem-solving skills and lead her team as a senior consultant. Isabelle is also an executive on the Commerce and Engineering Environmental Conference. She has a passion for the environment, and hopes to use consulting to decrease the environmental footprint of large corporations.
Stella is entering her second year as a Commerce student at Queen’s. She is very excited to fulfill the position of a Consultant on the FreshSight team and is eager to bring her previous experience working with non-profits as well as her drive to learn to the FSQ team. This past summer, she worked as an Assistant Supervisor at Phoenix Gymnastics and she hopes to bring forth the critical thinking and organizational skills she learned on the job. In her free time, Stella enjoys skiing, reading, and travelling.
Nicole is in her third year of the Bachelor of Commerce program at Queen’s University, and is excited to serve as a Senior Consultant on the FreshSight team. Nicole has had working experience within the asset management industry through multiple roles in institutional sales and hopes to apply her understanding of business development strategy to her projects. During her time on FreshSight, Nicole hopes to gain perspective from her clients on social impact work as she plans to one day enter a career supporting sustainable environmental practices. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys meeting new people, spending time with family and travelling.
Dorian is currently enrolled in his fourth year of Queen’s Commerce. Aside from being apart of the FreshSight Team as a Senior Consultant, Dorian is also a Teaching Assistant/ Manager for the Smith’s Business Consulting Class. Throughout his previous summers, Dorian has worked in audit, finance, supply chain and accounting. Dorian is extremely thrilled to be working alongside the FreshSight team and non-profit organizations.
Haydn is currently enrolled in his third year of the Commerce program at Queen’s. Since joining FreshSight in March 2019, Haydn has enjoyed developing his problem-solving capabilities while learning how to foster meaningful client relationships in the non-profit space. Looking forward, Haydn intends to follow his passion for socially impactful work by pursuing a career that enables him to help advance humanity’s transition to sustainable living practices. Outside of the classroom, Haydn can often be found splashing around in the pool as a member of the Queen’s Varsity Swim Team.
Emika is in her second year of Mining Engineering at Queen’s. Emika loves learning about everything from technology and science to arts and culture to politics and social justice. She’s very excited to bring her varied technological experience from engineering and apply it to a business context. Emika has experience in computer programming, photoshop and graphic design, physical and virtual prototyping, communications technology, and customer service. In her free time, she enjoys being active and outside, as well as rereading Harry Potter.
Roi is a third year student pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce at Queen’s University, and will serve as the Director of Finance of FreshSight. He looks forward to implementing financial analysis and quantitative reasoning into each of the consulting projects. Roi is also excited to incorporate an educational aspect into the club meetings, to enhance the financial understanding of the team, and instill analytical decision making. Having worked in credit and public equities, Roi will bring critical thinking and a long-term mindset to the team. In his free time, Roi enjoys playing hockey, drawing and spending time with friends.
Thomas is in his third year of Life Science, specializing in Biomedical Sciences while completing a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He hopes to provide a unique perspective and is excited to take on projects as a team. This summer, Thomas worked as a contracts and administration assistant at Teleflex, a global provider of medical technologies. Outside of class, Thomas is on the Varsity Cheerleading team and has previously competed for the Varsity Fencing team.
Alexandra is a second year student in the Bachelor of Commerce program at Queen’s. She is excited to connect with clients in her role as Client Acquisition Director in the fall and Consultant during the winter. Alexandra is passionate about social impact and looking forward to making a difference on the FreshSight team. In addition to FreshSight Queen’s, Alexandra is a Sponsorship Officer for the Queen’s Commerce Corporate Competition (Q3C). She is a volunteer with Queen’s Commerce Kids and enjoys spending her free time figure skating, doing yoga, and baking.
CLient Acquisitions & Winter COnsultant
Melissa is entering her second year in the Queen’s Commerce program. She will take on the role of Client Acquisitions in the fall and Consultant in the winter semester. Melissa looks to have a positive impact on the non-profit organizations she will work with through her roles at FreshSight. Outside of class, Melissa competes on the Queen’s Varsity Cycling team and spends much of her time on her bike.
Marie-Claire is currently entering her fourth year at Queen’s and as Operations Director, she is excited to be leading professional development sessions for FreshSight consultants. This past summer, Marie-Claire worked as a Summit Sales Intern at IBM and a few months prior to that, was enjoying copious amounts of baguettes while on exchange in Paris. In her spare time, you can find her playing soccer, reading a good book, or exploring the great outdoors.
Vinson is an incoming fourth year student in the Commerce program at Queen’s. Throughout his previous summers, Vinson’s worked in strategy consulting, technology risk and retail banking. Digital health entrepreneurship is his passion and is the biggest on and off campus. He’s thrilled to be a part of the FreshSight team.
Jake is a fourth year student studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) at Queen’s. Jake has experience working in law, social impact strategy, wealth management and corporate citizenship. He enjoys working with others to solve complex problems that have a positive social impact. He is really excited to join the FreshSight team and help Not-Profit Organizations across Canada increase their impact.
Salman is a third year commerce student at Queen’s University. After his first year, Salman worked as a project management intern for start-up enrolled at Ryerson University’s digital media zone. This summer he had an opportunity to work at Fidelity Investments Canada within the company’s trade processing team. He is extremely excited to bring his skillset and experiences to Freshsight. You can often catch Salman in a breakout room at Goodes watching Netflix or at the ARC breaking some ankles.
Ceci is entering her third year of the Queen’s Commerce program and joined FreshSight Queen’s at the end of her first year as a consultant. This past summer, Ceci worked at BDC Capital as a Growth Equity analyst and is scheduled to join Greentech Capital Advisors as an investment banking analyst Summer 2020. In her spare time, she is a film fanatic and enjoys lifeguarding, playing ultimate frisbee, and playing soccer.
Samantha is in the fourth year of her BScH in Psychology with a Certificate in Business. She loves applying behavioural research to organizational contexts and has previously done this as a Summer Student at TELUS and as a Research Assistant at the Smith School of Business. This past summer Samantha held an Undergraduate Research Fellowship at the Queen’s University International Study Centre in England. She can’t wait to tackle new challenges this year with the rest of the FreshSight team! In her free time Samantha can be found working behind the scenes of TEDxQueensU 2020, playing the viola, and searching for the perfectly chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe (although not all at the same time, of course).
Entering her third year at Queen’s, Seline is working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Certificate in Business. She is excited to join FreshSight as a consultant and engineering liaison this year and apply the skills she has acquired from her courses at the Smith School of Business. This past summer working for a structural engineering firm, she created a Windows application in C# to model and perform calculations on warehouse racking across Canada. Outside of school, Seline enjoys playing the cello and learning new programming languages.
Claire is in her second year of the Commerce Program. This past summer, Claire worked at Deloitte as a Consulting Analyst. As a first-time FreshSight Consultant, Claire is eager to help clients uncover the possibilities they have to tackle big challenges head on, and bring value to the heart of their organization.
Andre is entering his third year of Commerce at Queen’s, and is excited to be joining as a Consultant for the upcoming year. He’s looking forward to working with the team to make a difference in the Kingston community. Passionate for retail strategy, he spent the past summer at Hudson’s Bay Company, completing an internship in Merchandise Planning where he strategized how to allocate product to maximize sales. In his free time you’ll probably find him binge watching some trashy reality TV and ordering food, as he has 0 cooking abilites.
Rachel is going into her fourth year of Engineering Chemistry and is excited for her second year as a consultant for FreshSight. She is looking forward to using her critical thinking skills and past experience on FreshSight to help new clients this year. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys playing sports, reading, and cooking.
Kelly is entering her third year of Commerce at Queen’s University and is excited to join Freshsight as a Consultant. She is excited to work with a non-profit and is looking forward to engaging with a client in the Kingston area. She spent her summer with PwC within the Assurance group, and is scheduled to join BMO Capital Markets as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. In her spare time, she loves cooking despite having a small kitchen in Kingston student housing.
Aysha is entering her second year at Queen’s and is super excited to be working with an organisation focused on changemakers. This past summer she worked with City of Toronto camps, and has previously worked with Mural Routes, a Toronto arts non-profit. She absolutely loves her campers, McDonalds, and giving back to her community.
Akshay is entering his second year at Queen’s Commerce and is beyond excited to be apart of the FreshSight team as a consultant. This past summer, Akshay worked at a boutique management consulting firm, working with high profile YouTube content creators including ASAPScience and The Sorry Girls. Akshay also holds positions on Queen’s Consulting Association as Internal Event Coordinator and Queen’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Conference as Speakers Coordinator. In his spare time, he enjoys running his own YouTube translation company, playing hockey, and volunteering at a Toronto Homeless Shelter.
Mark is entering his second year at Queen’s Commerce and is eager to begin consulting work with the incredible non-profit clients that FreshSight has gathered! Over the summer, Mark worked at CIBC as part of the CIBC Square Technology Team. Through this opportunity, Mark learned how to operate the most cutting edge audio-visual technology, he improved his organizational skills, took part in RFP & RFQ meetings, and had the opportunity to network with multiple bank executives. In his free time, Mark enjoys tutoring children, watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S over and over again, playing basketball, playing super smash bros, and spending time with friends!
Angela is in her second year at Queen’s Commerce and she is super excited to be apart of the FreshSight team this year! This summer, Angela worked at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario in their Channel Solutions and Operations Department. She helped to facilitate communication between clients, the board, employers, and many other workplace parties. During her free time, she loves travelling with friends to exotic places like Bali, volunteering for different non-profits, and coaching swimming lessons. As well, Angela is thrilled to be working on impactful projects and working with other passionate consultants on the team.
Adil is entering his second year pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce at Queen’s and is super excited to be a part of the FreshSight team and to consult exciting non-profit clients. This past summer, Adil worked as a Program Assistant for SHAD York, a non-profit focusing on empowering high school students to make a difference in their own communities through an intensive one month program. In his spare time, he enjoys debate, community service, and binge watching Netflix shows.
Tina is a second-year student in the Queen’s Commerce Program and is looking forward to working and learning alongside her team this year in FreshSight. This past summer, she worked in Global Research at RBC Capital Markets collecting data for research reports and improving operational inefficiencies. In her spare time, Tina enjoys playing piano, travelling to new countries, and dancing.
Jordan is entering his 4th year of the Queen’s Engineering program and his second year as a Freshsight consultant. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Mechanical Engineering and is scheduled to join the Canadian Business Growth Fund as an Investment Analyst in Fall 2020. Outside of the classroom and office, Jordan can be found playing hockey, football, waterskiing,and cooking (often unsuccessfully).
Veni is entering her second year of Queen’s Commerce, and is excited to be returning to Freshsight this fall. This past summer, Veni worked at Honda Canada Finance Inc. in the Account Services department, analyzing collections issues, reviewing account adjustments, and resolving client discrepancies and short payments. In her spare, Veni enjoys travelling, running, and learning about skincare.
Kanza is a first year student at Queen’s and is excited to be a part of the FreshSight Team. As a new consultant on the team, she hopes to use her previous experience working with nonprofits, in order to better understand client problems, and how to tackle them head on. Kanza is also eager to learn more about consulting and problem-solving from her peers. In her free time, she likes to try new foods, binge watch tv shows on netflix, bake, and hanging out with her friends.
Martina is an incoming first year student into the Bachelor of Commerce program at Queen’s University. As a consultant, she hopes to use her past experiences in order to add a new perspective on the FreshSight team. Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, she is heavily involved with her community as she enjoys volunteering. In her free time, Martina enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and tasting new foods.
